I'm a finalist - New Zealand Painting and Printmaking Awards 2020
(EDIT: This was updated on 6th October 2020, after the award was announced)
Iโm proud to say that Iโve been shortlisted as a finalist for the NZ Painting and Printmaking Award 2020, for my painting called Inside Out. Now that the awards have been judged and announced, I can show my painting here. I didnโt receive an award, but Iโm happy to say that my painting sold on the opening night. Scroll down to see images of the winning paintings and prints.
There were a record 408 entries this year, and entry was delayed by several months due to the Coronavirus lockdown. The judge Julia Waite, Curator of New Zealand Art at Auckland Art Gallery Toi o Tamaki, has selected 55 finalists. The awards night is Friday October 2nd, when the winners will be announced. The finalist works will be exhibited and open to the public for three days after that.
