Shipping + Returns

Shipping

1.     How soon will I receive my artwork?

I pack and ship all my work myself, so please allow a few days for me to get it sent off, once we’ve worked out how you want it sent. I’ll keep you updated by email, and send you tracking information when it leaves here.

Because NZ is a long way from anywhere, delivery times overseas can vary immensely and are out of my control. Sometimes I’ll be able to make a guess on delivery times based on recent experience.

If you’re in a hurry there’s usually an option available to suit, but at a cost! Let me know if time is critical for you and I’ll see what we can do.

2. Is shipping included?

No - well, unless you are on my mailing list and have a delivery address in NZ. In that case sometimes I will offer free shipping on certain sized artworks - it’s one of the perks of subscribing to my emails.

3.     How much does shipping cost?

Actual shipping rates depend on so many things - whether you want courier or standard post, whether you want to pay for insurance, if your address is urban or rural (and of course what country you are in!).

I am very happy to get you a price for shipping if you give me all the details, and then you can decide whether or not you want to go ahead with the purchase. You will need to add the shipping price to the price of the artwork. Please contact me at amanda.wilkinson.art@gmail.com to discuss shipping requirements.

4.     Can I pick up my artwork?

Yes - pick up is available in Wellington.

5.     Do you ship internationally?

Please contact me directly regarding international sales. I use PayPal or direct bank deposit for international transactions and can ship to most countries. I will email you with packing and shipping costs, which will be added to the cost of the work if you decide to proceed. 

6.     Will there be any customs charges to pay?

It depends where you live and the value of the artwork - overseas shipments (outside NZ) may be subject to import duties and taxes according to the laws of the destination country. Any additional charges are at the buyer’s expense. I have no control over these charges and accept no responsibility for additional charges. Please check with your country's customs office to determine what these additional costs will be prior to making a purchase - it varies from country to country.

7.     What if my artwork arrives damaged?

Hopefully it will arrive in pristine condition, but in case it doesn't I suggest choosing shipping with insurance to cover that eventuality! 

If your artwork is damaged in transit please contact me immediately (no later than the following day) at amanda.wilkinson.art@gmail.com. I will require photos of the packaging and the artwork in order to put in a claim for damage.

Returns

8.    What if I don't like it when it arrives? Can I return it?

I offer a 14 day return policy (for NZ customers only) because I understand that artwork can look different in person and in your own space, and buying art online can feel a bit risky. You have 14 days to contact me by email and request a refund. You will need to cover the cost of return postage, using the original packaging. Once a return has been agreed, you are responsible for packing and organising return delivery using the same service it was sent to you. The artwork must be returned in as-new condition. Any original shipping costs are non-refundable. Once the piece is safely returned I will refund your payment within 14 days.

9. What about overseas returns

At this time I am unable to offer a refund or return on any item sent outside of New Zealand.
