The Shadow Forms series of paintings are inspired by the ordinary and mundane - shadows noticed in the everyday world, mostly outside from the built environment on a sunny winters day, when the sun is low and the shadows are deep. They are the sorts of things often not noticed, but that help to define the three dimensions of the world in which we move.

I see a hallway on the left, with a doorway at the end, hence the title. You might see something entirely different!
